This varies per project because every project is different. We like to meet with the client first to find out what services they are looking for (is it only furniture or is it picking out materials for a new home and furniture/ decor), etc.
Once we know the scope of work, we give the client an estimate and timeline, usually a flat design rate based on the scope of work plus an itemized quote of materials, furnishings, and decor to be purchased for the project.
First, meet with the client(s) and hear from them about their project and what services they are looking for. We ask a lot of questions to find out as much as we can about the client’s wants, functional needs, likes/ dislikes, etc.
Then we put together a first-round inspiration board and walk the client through our ideas and direction. Sometimes we only need to meet once before getting started, and sometimes it takes a few more meetings.
Once all is agreed upon, we begin sourcing, quoting, putting together color boards, and more detailed presentations of furniture and accessories.
Set up a meeting between the designer and client. The first step is a meeting to discuss the project, what you like, what you don’t like, and how you envision the final look of the project.
The timeline varies but remodels usually take between 3-7 months.
